Anyone with these Android Devices or iPhone Models Lose WhatsApp Support Today

Certain Android and iPhone mobile devices are losing support to run WhatsApp today, as the messaging service can no longer work with older models…

Today is the day messaging service WhatsApp has been warning its users about. WhatsApp has been telling its users for quite a while now it will cease to support its platform on different versions of Android and iPhone alike. And, that time is now.

Android Devices Running Gingerbread Version 2.3.7 (and iPhone 7) Lose WhatsApp Support Today

The change will affect approximately 7.5 million Android devices, along with some iPhone model owners.

Today, the WhatsApp messaging service mobile application stops working on Android versions 2.3.7 and older, as well as the iPhone 7 and 8. As these mobile devices age, they are less able to support certain applications.

Other affected devices are Galaxy S, Desire HD, Nexus One, Droid X2, iOS 7, as well as iOS 8. So, anyone who owns these must upgrade to a newer model Android or iPhone in order to continue to use WhatsApp.
