Bing Refreshes its Image Search UI, adds NFL Answers and a Word of the Day

The Bing desktop image search UI now sports a different look, as the search engine adds NFL answers, along with a word of the day…

Bing has published a blog post announcing it’s roll out of a new desktop image search interface:

“We’ve updated the UX of the image detail page on Bing desktop to more easily highlight new and relevant information about images you click on. For example, if you’re searching for images of food, Bing will automatically find recipes associated with that image, presenting the information in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.”

The search engine likewise updated its visual image search, changing up the experience. It’s improved its visual object detection, meaning it’s easier to find particular things within an image.

Bing also added a few more ways for football fans to follow the season:

“No matter what information you’re looking for, Bing presents a comprehensive picture of each game with stats, schedules, viewing information, injury reports, news, and even predictions.”

It’s a robust platform, complete with all the information in a snapshot format. There’s even pre-game insights available, with team histories, match-ups, and more.

Finally, Bing added a new word of the day feature. It gives the definition, pronunciation, and a contextual example.
