Facebook Celebrates One Year of Messenger Instant Games with Live Streaming

Facebook Messenger Instant Games live streaming rolls out, along with video chat, marking its one year anniversary celebration…

In celebration of its first year anniversary, Facebook announced it’s adding two new features Messenger Instant Games. Live streaming and video chat are now available on the platform. Now, it hosts over 70 games in more than 100 markets.

Another update to Facebook Messenger Instant Games is video chat. The feature is under testing with Words with Friends. And, it still supports filters. (Video chat will debut next year.)

“Games are an authentic extension of the connection people feel in Messenger — a fun, interactive and powerful way to connect to people you chat with daily or friends and family who live far away. It’s with this spirit we’re introducing two new features to Instant Games that will help you engage and connect with those you care about in new and different ways,” Messenger and Facebook Games teams explain.
