A Facebook Pages, Stories integration will soon give businesses, news publishers, entertainers, and more a new way to market on the network…
Facebook Stories’ use is virtually non-existent. What’s more, the recently introduced cross-post from Instagram Stories feature is a dud. However, one Facebook subsidiary boasts big time use. Instagram Stories are a huge hit.
Facebook Pages, Stories Integration Coming Soon
In the coming month, Facebook Pages will support Facebook Stories, TechCrunch reports. It appears the world’s largest social network is betting big on brand video to make Facebook Stories popular with regular users.
“We’ve been listening to our community and working to make it fast, fun and easy for people and Pages to create Stories on Facebook. Over the coming month, Pages will be able to create Stories to share with the people who follow them,” Facebook product manager Amy Sun states.
Facebook states the success of Instagram Stories from public figures and brands is the reason for the move. So, users will soon see Facebook Stories from Pages they like or follow. Page administrators will also see a “Create Story” button on their mobile app. But, the video will not automatically appear in the News Feed unless specifically shared there. As with all Stories, the content disappears in 24 hours.
It not clear just how Pages will adopt this tool. Without first vetting the feature through brands who already produce great content, this might well prove a futile attempt.
