Facebook September Memories are now being served by the social network, in its continued effort to boost user sharing of original content…
Facebook September Memories are now available on Android and iOS. The social network continues to curate memories collections in its ongoing fight against context collapse.
Facebook September Memories Roll Out on Android, iOS
Back in August, the company announced it would aggregate more collages. And, these collections have proven popular with users but only for certain time periods. For instance, its biggest hits are Spring Memories, Summer Memories, and its Good Adds Up video. However, its monthly collections, like June, July, and August, garnered less user popularity.
For those unfamiliar, context collapse is Facebook’s internal name for a strange phenomenon. User engagement time continues to rise on the network but people are sharing less organic content. Instead, users share more third-party information than original text posts, images, and video.
How to Get Facebook September Memories
To retrieve and share Facebook September Memories, simply log on to the mobile Android or iOS app. If available, it will appear right at the top of the News Feed with the following message: “Thank you for sharing your memories here. We hope you enjoy looking back on these posts we’ve gathered from September.”
From there, choose the pre-selected images or opt to add images from the Facebook gallery.
It is important to note Facebook only serves its memories collections automatically. No dedicated page or option is available to retrieve the collages manually.
