Google just renamed its popular Files Go mobile app, “Files by Google,” as it hits 30 million monthly users and continues to grow…
Tech giant Google released Files Go in December of last year. It’s a mobile app which gives users the power to free-up space, and find and share files with others. Originally, it was created to serve the next generation of smart phone users in select markets, which include India, Brazil, and Nigeria.
Files by Google App Reaches 30 Million Monthly Users
Within that time, just under a year, the service has grown to serve more than 30 million monthly users. However, it’s being used in countries all over the world, regardless of device or connection, Google explains:
“Today, we’re rebranding the app to Files by Google. We’ve also redesigned the user experience to make sure that the content of your mobile phone is the focus when you use the app, all while keeping the same functions and playfulness that people love. When you clear out files you no longer need, we now celebrate how much you saved by telling you what you’ve freed up room for—whether it’s enough to take a few more selfies, or to download a whole movie!”
Files by Google is available for Android devices on the Play Store.
