Google continues to bring dark mode to even more of its services. It’s appeared on YouTube and others over the past several months. And now, it’s beginning to show up in Files by Google on the beta version of Android Q.

The new Files by Google dark mode brings more functionally to the app, and in more ways than one.

Sure, it’s much better on the eyes in low-light situations. And, it also adds cool aesthetics. But, it also helps to save on battery life, as well. (Since it doesn’t have to power pixels displayed as black, it cuts down on the demand of the battery.)

To use it, join the beta program and then go into settings to enable the option. It’s a great resource, which launched in December 2017, for file browsing, media consumption, storage clean-up and offline file transfer.
