Google Trips will Journey Off into the Sunset on August 5th

Google will kill off its Google Trips mobile app early in August, replacing it with other services, including its dedicated website…

The Google Trips standalone mobile app will go away on August 5th, according to research conducted by XDA Developers. (The report is backed up by an announcement on an official support page, which reads, “Support for the Google Trips app will end on August 5, 2019. Until then, you’ll still be able to access and email all of your trip reservations and notes as normal.”)

Google Trips Android App Shutting Down August 5th 2019

The Google Trips app for Android currently gives its users a number of tools to help them plan vacations. This includes flight information, hotel accommodations, popular destinations, restaurant reviews, and weather forecasts.

It was only a few weeks ago Google completely revamped its dedicated travel website. But, the Google Trips app wasn’t updated and now it’s apparent why.

Even though it’s still possible to download and use the Google Trips app and continue to use it past August 5th, Google will drop support. Sometime thereafter, the tech company will likely pull the app completely.
