Google mobile image search now sports new filtering options, appearing right under the search box. Among the quick filters are options for the latest images, animated GIF files, clip art, colors, and copyright usage. Dragging the bar to the left produces more colors. Also included is a “labeled for reuse” filter.

The new Google mobile image search filters aren’t yet known to become permanent. It is also unknown how widespread the feature is and in what regions it’s available.

At this time, Google has not made an official announcement. But, it does appear to roll out, at least to users in the United States. Improvements to the Android Chrome read pages offline feature just debuted. At the end of April, Google confirmed Chrome version 59 will support animated PNGs.
