A new YouTube account switcher, announced last week at Google I/O 2019, arrives, complete with quick access to Google settings…
At its 2019 I/O event, Google announced it would bring an account switching option to several apps. These include Gmail, Contacts, Keep, Photos, Search, Maps, and YouTube. (Some apps have the tool in the search bar, while others have it placed in side menu.)
New YouTube Account Switcher Now includes Google Settings Quick Access
The new YouTube account switcher is now here and it also provides users with quick access to Google settings. Selecting the latter will take users right to myaccount.google.com.
With the update come two new changes. First, the sign out option is no longer appearing. But, it does allow users to switch to Incognito mode. Second, a new Manage accounts tool is part of the menu.
YouTube is undergoing a number of changes. For instance, the company plans to make half of its recommendations content from original creators. The video hosting platform is also testing Google Express shopping links.
