The most recent beta release of WhatsApp now includes an option to share to Facebook. It also contains a new QR code add contact function. While both are welcome options, since they appear in beta build doesn’t mean they’ll make their way over to stable release.

Although a dark mode or a night mode might indeed be higher on users’ wish lists, the new QR code contact scanning is certainly a great addition.

Of course, the most obvious take is the fact WhatsApp is owned by Facebook. So, it only makes sense to see a tool to cross-post from one platform to another.

Back to the QR code contact adding feature. It’s something which has already been available for iOS for about six months time. Now, it’s arriving on Android. To see these tools in-action, download version 2.19.15.
