Pinterest just Revamped its Friend Feed and It Looks Very Similar to Instagram

A Pinterest Friend Feed redesign is now going live on its mobile apps and it now closely resembles the Instagram interface…

Digital pinboard Pinterest first launched its Friend Feed back in March. It’s a section of the site dedicated to follow posts from others. Although it’s only about 7 months old, it’s getting a redesign. An Instagram-style feed will replace the original tiled image experience.

Pinterest Friend Feed Redesign Rolling Out

The fresh Pinterest Friend Feed redesign still works much like it did before, featuring a chronological feed. When users tap on the red “Save” button below the images to save them to boards. Or, tapping on the images to go out to external pages.

Pinterest is likely embracing the change because it’s is more acclimated for mobile viewing — where the majority of social engagement occurs. So, giving images more screen makes sense.

The new Pinterest Friend Feed redesign is now rolling out across its mobile apps.
