The Samsung Email Mobile App for Android Hits 1 Billion Downloads

The Samsung Email client mobile app for Android now claims 1 billion downloads and counting, bringing it to a notable milestone…

Samsung is a huge corporation, manufacturing a plethora of devices, appliances, and much more. It’s also considered a flagship brand of mobile phones, along with iPhones and Pixels. So, it shouldn’t come as a surprise its pre-installed apps rank among the most ubiquitous.

Samsung Email App Hits 1 Billion Installs from the Google Play Store

The Samsung Email app for Android (which can’t be uninstalled on devices on which it’s preinstalled), now claims 1 billion downloads from the Google Play Store.

It’s still quite remarkable, considering the price points at which so many of its mobile devices come. The Samsung Email app hit 100 million installs back in December of 2017.

What’s also interesting is the fact the Samsung Email app can only be used on select OEM devices. Unlike the Samsung mobile internet browser, the email client won’t work elsewhere.

Similar to other email clients, Samsung’s version allows users to manage multiple personal and business accounts. It features Exchange ActiveSync (EAS), S/MIME encryption for secure email. Plus, it also includes spam management, along with combined mailboxes, and policy administration.
