Snapchat Introducing Creator AR Lenses in Its Carousel

Snapchat carousel creator AR Lenses will begin to appear later this month, alongside sponsored content and other picks…

Snapchat users will soon see original creator AR Lenses in the carousel starting in late March. Taken from the Lens Studio, the ephemeral app isn’t yet saying what qualifiers it will use. Snapchat Carousel Creator AR Lenses Feature Coming Soon

The new program, reportedly called “Creator Boost,” according to Mashable, will credit creators by sharing their usernames. That means anyone interested in trying for inclusion should opt into the new program for a chance at selection.

Lens Studio has already received a whopping 30,000 submissions since its debut in December of last year. So, the company has ample content to choose from, with even more on the way. Selected Lenses are not permitted to be branded and the program will only open to a limited group of users in the initial stage.

Snapchat is also testing its own Instagram-style tagging feature. The company is eager to move past its redesign fiasco but downloads of the app are actually up
