Menlo Park, California–Facebook Page event promotions are used by some 400 million businesses and causes every month.
What’s more, about 30 percent of all events are created through the Pages feature on the social platform. The company announced these new options on its official blog.
Now, Facebook will put more power in the hands of Page owners and managers, making it easier for them to reach a wider audience when promoting an upcoming event.
The suite of new offerings even comes with analytics, allowing event promoters to measure the scope of their campaigns.
Facebook Page Event Promotion Features
Along with the announcement came a preview, which can be seen nearby. The new tools will be made available over the next few weeks, giving Page owners and managers the power to create event promotion ads for desktop and mobile. The ads will run on both the desktop and mobile platforms and will prominently appear in users’ News Feed. Previously, event promotion ads appeared only on the right column and only on the desktop interface.
Insights will accompany the new tools for owners and managers, and will be placed on the right column of the event page itself. The data will display three key measurements:
- The number of users who have seen a link to the event
- The number of users who have viewed the event
- The number of users who have joined, saved, and maybe replies to the event.
The social media site states that it will also be releasing future improvements over the coming months. Page owners and managers can start using some of the new tools via Ad Create and Power Editor.
Facebook recently banned Page click-baiting, the practice of showing misleading content or promising something in return for liking a page. A study conducted by a third party reveals that 62 percent consumers visit a company’s page before making a purchase.
