YouTube TV is Now Available through Amazon Fire TV Devices

Amazon Fire TV now supports YouTube TV, adding another live broadcasting option to the platform, following a contentious relationship…

Google and Amazon have had big differences in the past. But recently, the two companies have made nice with one another. For instance, Amazon reinstated support for YouTube on Fire devices in July. Meanwhile, Google enabled Amazon Prime streaming on Chromecast devices.

Now, Amazon is adding YouTube TV for its Fire TV platform. So, viewers can stream live television and enjoy unlimited cloud-based DVR.

This is significant for both parties because it benefits their mutual customers. YouTube TV seeks to replace traditional cable, for just $50 per month. That subscription includes 70 channels, including some of the most popular cable networks.

With the support, 2nd generation Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Stick 4K, and Fire TV Cube can all stream YouTube TV. Other compatible devices are all Toshiba, Insignia, Element and Westinghouse Fire TV Edition smart models.
