Amazon Prime Video user profiles have already been available in a handful of countries, and now expand to include all markets around the globe…
While it’s taken years, the wait is finally over. Amazon has made personalized user profiles accessible to all Prime Video members, after restricting it to just a few countries. A feature that’s long been available on other streaming services, it’s been conspicuously absent on the Prime platform for some time now. With the expansion, it’s possible to create a total of six user profiles, including a primary or default one.
Amazon Prime Video User Profiles Expand to All Markets
Like its peers, Amazon offers a kid’s option, which features parental controls, including a PIN number. This gives parents the power to restrict inappropriate content for young viewers 12 years of age and under. Also, it’s no longer a hassle to keep interests separate from one person to another. So, users who enjoy household DIY series won’t be bombarded with horror movie title suggestions that their partners prefer.
At this time, it appears the new personalized profiles are accessible through Fire TV, Android, and iOS, but there’s no word about which other devices support it. The roll out is phased, meaning that it won’t be immediately available in all markets. Prime Video subscribers in the UK and US will probably have the feature within the next few weeks.
