Android Auto Bug Causes Google Assistant to Read Messages in the Wrong Language

A Strange Android Auto Glitch is Causing Messages to be Read in the Wrong Language

Android Auto and Google Assistant are malfunctioning for some, who are experiencing a bug that causes messages to be read in the wrong language…

Android Auto and Google Assistant work hand-in-hand to keep drivers informed about their routes and in touch with others at the same time, all while keeping their attention on the road. Of course, this extraordinary level of technology doesn’t come without the occasional issue cropping up. Recently, Auto Evolution reported a weird phenomenon that causes messages to be read in the wrong language.

In some discussion forms, various users are complaining about the problem. These people state they’ve made no changes, yet Google Assistant somehow reads messages aloud through Android Auto in the wrong language. Although it doesn’t seem like it’s a widespread issue, the team over at Android Auto is aware of the bug and is working on a fix.

This follows another glitch that caused Google Maps to only be set to English as the default language — an issue that occurred back in March. Fortunately, Google corrected that particular problem. Hopefully, the crew behind Android Auto will pinpoint the source of the problem and push out a fix.
