Twitter is now back on Mac machines, thanks to a new Catalyst-powered app, bringing the mobile experience to desktop for users…

With the roll out of macOS Catalina, developers are free to use Apple’s Mac Catalyst technology to create versions of their iOS apps for desktop computers. Among them is the most anticipated Twitter app.

Catalyst-Powered Twitter Mac App Debuts

First announced over the summer at this year’s WWDC event, the Twitter app for Mac is now available, free-of-charge, in the Apple Store.

This is for users who prefer the mobile version of the social microblog but want access on a larger screen and keyboard combination. It even supports dark mode but does not run live feed refresh. (For the latter, Tweetdeck or a third-party app will suffice.)
