Disney Plus Adds Google Assistant Casting Support to Smart Displays and Speakers

Google Assistant Now Supports Disney+ Casting to Smart Displays and Speakers

Google Assistant is gaining the ability to cast Disney Plus content to Google smart speakers and displays alike…

One of the greatest features of Google’s displays and speakers is the power to cast content from different subscription services with just a simple voice command. Now, Disney+ is joining others, by adding support for Google Assistant casting. With it, people can enjoy Disney content right on their Google Nest Hub Max by merely asking Google Assistant to play their desired selection.

Disney+ already supported Google’s smart displays since the streaming subscription service debuted. But, gaining the ability to start a movie or show straight from a smart device is a bit more useful. The timing couldn’t be better either. The Mandalorian and Wandavision are slated to premier soon. Nandi Byer, Strategic Partner Development Manager, writes on the official Google blog, The Keyword, the following:

“If you have a Disney+ subscription, simply link your account in the Google Home or Assistant app and you can play movies and shows from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and more. Say, “Hey Google, play ‘The Mandalorian’ on Disney+” to start streaming instantly.”
