With the coronavirus causing lock-down conditions all around the world, families staying at home are trying to keep themselves occupied and entertained. Now, Duolingo, a site which helps people learn foreign languages has a new mobile app called ABC that helps young kids how to read.
Duolingo ABC iOS Kids’ Reading Tutorial App Introduced
The new Duolingo ABC app for iOS features key elements, such as alphabet, phonics, and sight words. It’s designed for children ages three through six and contains over 300 lessons.
Kids are asked to spell a given word from a letter jumble, trace the outlines of capitalized or lowercase letters, trace their own names, tap on objects that start with a particular letter, and tap on a specific word in a given sentence.
Upon launch, the Duolingo ABC app will debut in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK, and the US. Right now, it’s only on iOS but the company says it will release a version for Android at some time in the future. Duolingo ABC will also provide an ad-free experience and will not include in-app purchases.
