Facebook Sparked is another experimental app by the social media platform that features four-minute virtual speed dates between singles…
Facebook is delving deeper into the dating world. The company’s New Product Experimentation or NPE team has released a new video speed-dating app it calls Sparked. Anyone interested in checking it out will find it features a succession of rapid-fire four-minute speed dates. If the two singles enjoy their first 240 seconds, they can then go on a second, 10-minute date. Thereafter, it’s up to the two to exchange contact details if they want to stay in-touch with one another.
Experimental Facebook Speed-Dating App Sparked Features Four-Minute Virtual Face-to-Face Meet Ups
Facebook’s new video speed-dating app Sparked is quite different from the competition. For instance, there are no public profiles. It’s also free to use and Facebook states it doesn’t allow “endless DMs.” What’s more, there is no Tinder-style swiping. Of course, it does require an active Facebook profile to use it. However, not just anyone can hop on and start speed-dating.
Sparked vets all potential daters by asking newbies to explain “what makes you a kind dater?” Someone on the Sparked team reviews the answer and once approved, that individual can start going on virtual dates.
