Facebook Messenger Day is now live within the popular mobile messaging app, giving users the ability to share snippets of moments with family and friends…
Facebook is currently testing a new chat UI, along with Assistant M. Now, the company announces Messenger Day, a photo and video sharing feature. Available on Android and iOS, the Snapchat like feature allows users to share images and videos as they are taken. The content disappears after 24 hours and users are in control of who can see it.
Facebook Messenger Day Now Available
This is a build off of Facebook Messenger instant video, which rolled out in September of last year. “At the end of last year, we launched Messenger’s new fast, powerful built-in camera to help make your conversations better than ever. Billions of photos and videos have been sent capturing all those heartfelt, funny and serious messages that make the Messenger community so powerful,” Stan Chudnovsky, Head of Product for Messenger writes.
“At the same time, we also began testing a way for you to share these photos and videos — as they happen — by adding to your Messenger Day, where many of your friends can view and reply to them. You’re always in control of who can see your day — share it with everyone, or choose specific friends and family members on Messenger,” Chudnovsky explains.
Facebook explains Messenger Day is easy to use:

- Tap on the sun-highlighted camera icon or select “Add to your day.”
