Facebook Messenger high-resolution image support goes from “2K” photos to 4K in several countries, expanding to more markets in the coming weeks…
Facebook has upgraded its Messenger app in plenty of ways over the past year. Now, it’s increasing its image support to include high-resolution, 4K pictures. Users in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, France, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore and Hong Kong have access to the ability. Plus, more markets will enjoy 4k photo support in the coming weeks.
Facebook Messenger High Resolution Image Support Bumps Up to 4K
In the past, Messenger only supported “2K” image uploads. But with this latest update, the mobile app will support a maximum resolution of up to 4096 x 4096 pixels. Below, the image on the left displays the previous limit. While on the right, a high-resolution image showcases the new higher support.
To send images in high-resolution, users simply must update to the latest version of the Messenger app for Android and iOS.
