Facebook owns the four most popular apps of this passing decade, according to analytics firm App Annie. Among the top-place finishers were much of what one would expect. That is, games, social media, and telecommunications. But, the four most popular are precisely what most people would guess.

The four most popular apps of the decade, according to App Annie, are, in-order: Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp, and Instagram. The world’s largest social network claims 2.7 billion monthly active users, with Messenger having 1.6 billion. WhatsApp comes in a close third with 1.5 billion and Instagram rounds out the top four with 1 billion.
As far as the top 10 go, Snapchat is the fifth most popular, with 293 million, and TikTok claims the seventh spot, with 500 million. As for sixth place, it’s not Twitter, but Skype. Meanwhile, UC Browser, YouTube, and Twitter are the eighth, ninth, and tenth, respectively.
However, when it comes to consumer spend, not one Facebook property makes the top 10. The top 10 apps of the decade, ranked by consumer spend are: Netflix, Tinder, Pandora Music, Tencent Video, LINE, iQIY, Spotify, YouTube, HBO Now, and Kwai.
