A new Facebook ZipRecruiter partnership shows how serious the social network is about expanding its presence into job recruitment…
Facebook is making another stride in its efforts into the jobs sector. The social network is partnering with ZipRecruiter, an online jobs listings aggregator. It’s already introduced the ability to post open positions on Facebook pages. Now, it is integrating ZipRecruiter into its platform to expose its 2 billion users to job listings.
New Facebook ZipRecruiter Partnership Signals Expansion into the Online Recruitment Market
This move gives organizations an option to check a box to broadcast a job opening on Facebook. And, it’s not an exclusive deal. Meaning, Facebook can freely partner with even more job sites. And, expand its reach into yet another sector.
“Facebook’s goal is to take the work out of finding a local job and hiring the right people. This partnership with ZipRecruiter is another way we’re making the process even easier for people and businesses alike,” Gaurav Dosi, PM for Jobs at Facebook, says.
Dosi also states that 40 percent of all small businesses in the U.S. report filling job openings is more difficult than expected. This expanded reach places more pressure on sites like Indeed and LinkedIn. But, there is already a lot of competition. For instance, in the United States alone, there are more than 40,000 job sites. Plus, there are a number of more tradition recruitment firms.
It’s clear Facebook wants to expand its reach into as many facets of life as possible. Rival Google launched an AI-powered jobs search feature right on the SERP or search engine results page back in June. The search engine also introduced Google Hire in July.
