There’s about to be more competition in the video news service niche market. The industry already includes some gigantic names, along with newcomers, such as Quibi. (The latter of which aired its first Superbowl ad.) And, it comes via Flipboard, appropriately called “Flipboard TV.”
Flipboard Launches Flipboard TV, a $3 per Month Video News Subscription Service
Flipboard will launch Flipboard TV on the 6th of March. It will cost $3 per month but will only be available on the Samsung Galaxy S20 initially.
According to the company, there are over one-hundred publishers are already on board, which include some big names like The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Variety, US Weekly, and Rolling Stone.
The new service will basically clone Flipboard’s current layout. Meaning, it’s organized into different categories, such as business, politics, entertainment, and technology. Plus, it will feature local television stations, including KCRA and WESH.
