But he finally settled on an astronomy-loving space traveler who delights in guiding Earthlings in their understanding of stellar events,” Doodle Manager, Brian Kaas, explains on the official blog.

Engaging the Google Doodle solar eclipse unlocks a journey of discovery. People can read fun facts and learn about a crowd-sourced photo project. People can even opt to view NASA’s live-stream of the celestial event, which is the first to occur in 99 years.

Additionally, NASA will share information before, during, and after the event, on Posts by Google, a tool which places posts by organizations right inside the organic search results on the SERP or search engine results page.
