Search giant Google is now adding a new tab in its restaurants local panel search results on mobile. Previously, when searchers entered a query for a local eatery, the panel included two tabs — Overview and Reviews. Now, a Google Local Panel restaurant menu tab accompanies them, bringing the total to three.
Google Local Panel Restaurant Menu Tab Now Included in Search Query Results
It appears the Local Panel restaurant menu tab is rolling out widely in North America, as it was first spotted by Sergey Alakov in Toronto, then duplicated by Search Engine Land in Monsey, New York. The local knowledge panel menu tab also appears in the southeast for different restaurant queries. Below is a screenshot for a popular Italian restaurant:

About a month ago, Google started inserting tabs within the local knowledge panel, after extensive trial testing.
