Google My Business quick ULRs come to the web, allowing businesses in select categories to add links for specific customer actions…
For restaurants and other retailers, Google My Business is a critical tool. Now, it’s upping the ante with more customer usability, adding optional quick URLs to business listings.
Google My Business Quick URLs Now Available
Google only made a brief explanation of the new feature, publishing the following instructions to its support page: “Add links to specific actions like online orders or reservations. Make it easier for customers to take action directly from your listing.”
Additionally, the search giant updated its Google My Business help page. That page lists the following actions business can now use. Here are the available links, quoted directly:
- Booking an appointment
- Placing an order
- Reserving a table
- Searching for items
- Viewing the menu
Google also states that links to third-party sites might appear automatically within business listings and such third-party links are not editable.
To add URLs to a Google My Business listing, simply sign into an active account, choose a listing to edit, click on the URLs section, enter links into the appropriate fields, and then click “Apply.”
The search engine also recently launched Reserve with Google, an appointment booking service.
