Google is offering some great incentives to invite new people to use Google Pay, along with a number of discounts from popular brands…

As 2020 comes to a close, Google is upping its promotion of Google Pay in some big ways. Right now, through December 31st, there are several offers within the recently redesigned app. And, it’s great timing, as more and more retailers and other stores switch over to contactless payments. Plus, it can put a little money in the people’s pockets right ahead of Christmas.

Google Pay Offering $21 Referral Bonus

Previously, Google gave users and referees $5 each for new sign ups. Now, that’s up to $21 per person. Simply open Google Pay and refer someone who hasn’t used the app before. After he or she makes a purchase of $10 or more, both receive $21, so long as the initial purchase is made by December 31st. Of course, there’s a limit to the number of referrals, which is three, meaning there’s potential for as much as $63 for existing users.

There’s also a number of other retailer- and brand-specific deals, too. For instance, spending $50 at Target gets $21 back. REI is offer 20% cashback for purchases, maxing out the rebate to $50. PetSmart is offering 10% cashback, Macy’s 2.5% cashback, Adidas 10% cashback, and Crocs, 20% off. (Each has their own rules and restrictions, but most disappear on January 1st.)
