Google Photos live video previews are now part of the experience in version 4.20, bringing more dynamics to the interface…
Google Photos continues to evolve by adding new features. Recently, it announced manual tagging for unrecognized faces, along with bringing some other options, including new search and editing tools. Now, with the latest iteration, it sports live video previews.
Google Photos Live Video Previews Debuts in Version 4.20
Google Photos version 4.20 includes live video previews within the mobile app. The interface plays video thumbnails so long as the user stays on the grid. The videos play automatically until the end and then restart from the beginning. Scrolling up or down stops the video preview play.
It’s a simple addition but one that’s available on other platforms. (Just like another problematic quirk, which does not allow people to remove recipients from shared albums. But that too, is coming, according to Google Photos Product Lead, David Lieb.)
Along the same lines of the new Google Photos live video previews is the support for motion pictures by Samsung.
