Google Photos could soon support the option to change a Google account profile image, according to a recent dive into the code…
One of Google’s best products is one of its seemingly ambitious. But, under the hood, it’s actually a powerhouse. From the ability to identify pets, recognize and automatically group individuals, to enhancing and editing, Google Photos is remarkable in its functionality. Now, it might get yet another feature — setting users’ Google account profile pictures.
Google Photos to Support Changing Google Account Profile Picture
Discovered by none other than code sleuth Jane Manchug Wong, there’s a new “Set Profile Picture” that appears when users search their own names within the Photos app. Although it’s relatively easy to do this through other ways, this does add a bit more convenience. And, since it’s in the Photos app, it makes it a cinch to find the right image.
As always, whether or not this will roll out to everyone remains anyone’s guess. Google routinely tests things and not all make their way to wide release. But, it demonstrates the company is continually working to make it less difficult to pull off simple changes.
