Google Photos pinch-to-zoom video

It Certainly Looks Like Google will Bring Pinch-to-Zoom to Videos Inside Google Photos

Google might add a new options to Google Photos — the ability to pinch-to-zoom on video — something users have long wanted…

Almost every consumer image viewer offers the ability to pinch-to-zoom on pictures. Google Photos is no exception but it does lack this particular functionality when it comes to video. Now, that might change in the not-too-distant future.

Google Photos Video Pinch-to-Zoom Feature might Soon Debut

It appears that Google is working on bringing pinch-to-zoom to videos in Google Photos. The folks over at XDA Developers managed to activate the zoom gesture by tinkering around with the Photos mobile application.

The option works just as it does for still images. Simply pinch in and out just as normal to shrink or enlarge a video. The feature even makes it possible to move around the filmed scene.

Pinch-to-zoom video is a long-requested option and it might just make its way out to consumers. Whether Google actually pushes it out is another matter. So, it could become available or join the countless experiments that go unreleased to the public.
