Amazon Fire TV devices are getting HBO Max support. This, after the streaming service debuted about six months ago, in May. It’s just starting to roll out now, but should be available to all subscribers in the near future. Those already subscribed to HBO via Amazon’s Prime Video channels can log in to the HBO Max with their Amazon details at no extra cost. Or, login directly into the app, for anyone who subscribed to the streaming platform through its parent company.

That’s not all. Alexa support also comes with the addition of the HBO Max app. So, it’s possible to say “Alexa, play Sharp Objects.” That makes it a bit more enjoyable but the streaming service still lacks a clear brand offering like some of its rivals, including Disney+. Instead, HBO Max serves as a direct competitor to Netflix. The platform offers everything on HBO, including such hits as Curb Your Enthusiasm

However, HBO is doing its best to leverage its intellectual property. For example, Titans, Doom Patrol, and Harley Quinn, which are exclusive to the service. Additionally, HBO Max will be the home of the Zack Snyder cut of the Justice League.
