Instagram Hits 2 Million Monthly Advertisers
Back in March, the company claimed 1 million monthly advertisers. Now, that figure is double and will likely grow. In fact, its own internal data shows why.
“Time spent watching video on Instagram is up more than 80% year over year, while the number of videos produced per day has increased by 4X from last year. With the emergence of innovative mobile video formats like Instagram Stories and Live, businesses are finding more opportunities to connect with their audiences, whether on-the-go or in the moment.”
Instagram cites Lowe’s Home Improvement as one of its successes. Using Instagram Stories, the retailer depicts the transformation of a vertical space. The campaign includes more than 50 microclips, each under a second long.
Instagram also continues to make user-side improvements. Currently, it’s testing a new four image grid layout. In late August, it added the ability to post multiple landscape photos and videos. Earlier that same month, the social site began testing a two user, split screen live video run.
