Netflix subscribers can now let others know what they’re watching through Instagram Stories, at least on iOS, with Android, in the works…
Digital services are slowly but surely becoming more connected. Even those which are totally different. Sure, there’s a modicum of overlap to all these technologies and their various offerings. But, some do go well together naturally. While others take time to foster a relationship. Enter the new Instagram Stories-Netflix sharing option.

It’s now possible for Netflix subscribers to share what their binging through Instagram Stories. So, even couch potatoes who’ve done nothing but stream endless hours of old sitcoms or are catching up on must-see releases have something to share on social media.
The Netflix app now has the option to share on Instagram Stories under the “share” button. When added to an Instagram Story, viewers will see a “watch on Netflix” link which brings up the mobile app, according to TechCrunch.
It’s currently available on iOS devices but the company states it’s working to bring the function to Android, as well. For Netflix, it’s a smart strategy. Instagram Stories dominates the ephemeral format, claiming more than 400 million daily active users as of June 2018. So, it’s a win-win for both companies.
