New Instagram Stories video stickers are now an option for some users to try out, giving them more ways to express themselves…
It seems Instagram is experimenting with something new. User Taylor Loren spotted an interesting feature, tucked in the stickers tray. This represents another move toward dominating the Stories format. Currently, Instagram Stories outperforms its competitors with 300 million DAUs or daily active users. By comparison, Snapchat and Facebook Stories both claim about 150 million users.
Instagram Stories Video Stickers Test Spotted
The new option is Instagram Stories video stickers. And, it’s reportedly been available for several weeks. (At least to a limited group of users.) But, it’s definitely not showing up for everyone.

If active, it surfaces right in the stickers tray. Eligible users can simply select the image option and then chose pictures and videos to add to Stories. Should the test prove lucrative, it’s quite likely the feature will make it to wide release.
And, it’s clear Instagram is out to own the stories format. In fact, the company is so optimistic about its prowess, it’s introduced Instagram Stories ads. The new adverts appear in vertical orientation and include shopping bag stickers for users to quickly make impulse purchases. The site just released the campaign tool, starting with select brands, including Adidas.
