The most familiar raster graphics editor in the world is now available on the iPad. The release comes after an official announcement at the Adobe MAX event held last year.

The iPad Adobe Photoshop option is free for use for the first thirty days. Thereafter, users will need an active Creative Cloud subscription to continue using it after that limited trial.
However, it doesn’t work with every iPad. Instead, it’s supported by seven models at this time. Here’s a list of supported devices:
- iPad Pro (Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi, and Cellular)
- iPad Pro (12.9-inch) and 2nd generation
- iPad Pro (10.5-inch)
- iPad Pro (9.7-inch)
- iPad 5th Generation
- iPad Mini 4
- iPad Air 2
Additionally, it’s possible to work on a project on a tablet, save it, and then resume editing later on the desktop version.
Adobe reportedly will bring Illustrator to the iPad next year.
The Apple App Store Preview site explains:
“The world’s best imaging and graphic design software is at the core of just about every creative project from photo editing and compositing to digital painting, animation, and graphic design. And now you can harness the power of Photoshop on your iPad to create anything you can imagine, wherever you’re inspired.”
