WhatsApp’s most recent Business beta version contains a new option that allows users to hide their online status and ‘last seen’ information…
WhatsApp Business is a valuable tool for communicating with customers. Unfortunately, it has some downsides. Although it’s important for customers to know if a business is available to chat, this can easily be abused. So, the Facebook subsidiary has introduced a significant change with the release of its latest Android app version — the ability to conceal their online status, as well as ‘last seen’ information.
Latest WhatsApp Business Beta Allows Companies to Conceal their Online Status
WhatsApp currently allows consumers to see whether or not a business is online and available to chat about the products and services offered. Of course, this means there’s definitely potential to abuse the system. Such an opportunity can really cause a plethora of problems. In order to remedy the issue, the most recent beta version of WhatsApp Business lets companies hide their online status and their last seen info.
But, it’s the option is only on the Android beta build. Businesses relying on the iOS app and/or web version does not have the capability. However, it should roll out to all platforms in the not-too-distant future, if the test goes well.
