The iOS clipboard activity detection is causing developers to rethink privacy. It’s also putting tech companies in legal jeopardy. Recently, iPhone owner Adam Bauer sued LinkedIn, accusing the professional networking site of spying on users.

The lawsuit claims LinkedIn’s actions violated California law and seeks class action status. LinkedIn states it is aware of the lawsuit and is evaluating its merits. This doesn’t guarantee the lawsuit will achieve class action status or that it will even move forward.
