Windows 10 updates will be harder to put off for businesses, after Microsoft decreases the time companies have to delay new versions…
There’s long been more than one distinction between Windows OS for home PCs and those for enterprise machines. In particular, the ability to delay updates went put out by the software giant. Until now, home users had only 35 days to avoid the latest updates. Meanwhile, businesses enjoyed an entire year. But, that’s no longer the case.
Microsoft Reduces Windows 10 Update Delays for Enterprise PCs
Microsoft has recently changed its policy. This means that professional organizations won’t have as much time as they did before. So, putting off updates for the sake of dodging bugs or to retain continuity across devices will not be an option in the not-too-distant future.
However, there are some substantial benefits to the change. For instance, it will keep business PCs safe from the latest security threats. And, it will keep company machines current with the most recent set of features and improvements. Plus, it will provide a bit more constancy across devices.
Of course, there are downsides. Most notably, the fact that Windows is notorious for shipping with bugs, some of which are serious. And, that gives businesses a whole lot less time to respond to problems.
