A newly refreshed Bing hotel search carousel now appears on the SERP or search engine results page, featuring information from TripAdvisor…
Bing just revamped its user interface for hotel search results, sporting a top of page carousel, complete with information from travel platform, TripAdvisor. The newly refreshed Bing hotel search carousel allows users to scroll through different option based on their queries.
Newly Revamped Bing Hotel Search Carousel Debuts
As pictured below in the screenshot, hotel information comes from TripAdvisor. But, clicking on any of the results does not redirect to the TripAdvisor page for those hotels. Clicking on a hotel option in the carousel doesn’t even redirect to a booking page. Clicking on a result in the carousel instead prompts the search engine to conduct a new search on that particular property’s name.
Located at the top of the carousel, there are several drop-down boxes. These include “Sort by relevance,” “Rating,” “Price,” and “Amenities.” Currently, the new Bing hotel search carousel is live on desktop and a version of it, with a vertical carousel, is available on the mobile web.
