A new Facebook Ask for Recommendations desktop button is now embedded as an option but does not appear on the native mobile app…
Facebook released its Recommendations feature back in October of last year. Thus far, it’s not exactly simple to use. But now, it’s appearing on desktop, though it’s not been spotted on the mobile apps.
New Facebook Ask for Recommendations Desktop Button Spotted
Navigating to the Facebook website, users will see it as an option in the left column. It resides under Photo/Video, Check in, and GIF. Until now, activating the Recommendations feature was not easy. Users must use hot words such as “looking for” or “recommend” or “recommendations.” And, it must also be a text-only post, free of pictures and videos. Additionally, tagging a location is part of the trigger. However, it does work with background colors.
When Facebook rolled out Recommendations, it included the option to turn the feature on and off. The tool also lives on its own page on desktop (pictured below).
It’s unknown whether the button will make its way to the Android and iOS apps.
