A new Facebook resume feature is appearing to some users, again taking on a familiar option from its rivals, this time, professional network, LinkedIn…
LinkedIn launched a desktop redesign last year. Among the new features, an improved UX or user experience, with a reimagined interface. Now, Facebook is taking a cue from that refresh. It appears the world’s largest social network is going further into its users’ professional lives. A new Facebook resume feature now appears to some users.
New Facebook Resume Feature Test Quietly Rolls Out
The Next Web reports this test is currently underway. At this time, it’s unknown how widespread it is or if the new option will roll out to all users. Facebook expanded its “Work and Education” section to include more details. However, not all those details display publicly.
Very similar to LinkedIn, users can list multiple past employment positions and select an “I currently work here” option. Because not all details are visible to the public, this suggests Facebook might be in the process of expanding its reach into recruiting. The social giant began a test trial last November for posting job openings. Prior to that, Facebook partnered with ZipRecruiter. Then, in February, a new Pages job posting option debuted.
