New Google App Shortcuts Announced

New Google App shortcuts now appear on the mobile app for Android and iOS, complete with a quick select carousel at the top, right below the search bar…

Back in the beginning of the month, a new Google app carousel with shortcuts appeared on the company’s native mobile app. Now, it’s officially rolling out to Android and iOS devices. The company states this feature is a quick select alternative to searching for specific topics.

“Getting up-to-the-minute info is as easy as a single tap. With shortcuts right on the home screen, you now have access to in-depth experiences across sports, eat & drink, entertainment and weather. Need to know whether to bring a raincoat tomorrow? Want the score to last night’s basketball game? Looking for what’s on TV tonight or who’s nominated for best supporting actress? Shortcuts on Google will get you there,” Tamar Yehoshua, VP of Product Management explains.
