A new Google Hire service website is live on the internet, ostensibly to take on companies like Greenhouse, Jobvite, LinkedIn, Facebook, and others…
Search giant Google appears ready to go head-to-head with job listing sites such as LinkedIn, Jobvite, Greenhouse, and Facebook. Google Hire is live on the web, but there’s no official announcement about it. Google Hire is a service which allows companies to post job listings, as well as accept and manage applications.
New Google Hire Service Website Appears Online
Although Google Hire is available, there is currently no information about its intended launch and/or capabilities. It is known Google is working with several tech companies to test the new platform. The list includes Medisas, DramaFever, SingleHop, and CoreOS, according to Axios.
The new site appears to fall under the Google enterprise offerings, which is home to its cloud division, headed by Diane Greene. Greene founded “Bebop,” a company Google acquired in 2015.
Should the service roll out widely, it will face up against other established rivals. Back in February, a Facebook Pages job posting option debuted, the social network’s attempt to also cater to this niche. (Those employment opportunity listings are available at https://www.facebook.com/jobs.) Competition in this space is fierce, so the search engine needs to offer something unique to capture market share.
