HBO has made a new update available for its HBO Max Apple TV app that fixes a few technical issues that began to appear last week…
HBO Max released an update for its Apple TV app that should fix all (or at least most) of the technical playback and interface issues which began to appear last week. Subscribers complained of problems with numerous features. These included the ability to rewind and fast-forward content, forced HDR, a permanent “next episode” pop-up at the end of a stream, broken subtitles, as well as broken Siri commands.
New HBO Max Apple TV App Update Fixes Recent Bugs
HBO Max subscribers who have already applied the update report via Reddit most of the issues have been fixed, though not all. For instance, forced Spanish subtitles and broken thumbnail previews still remain a problem. But, the company will likely roll out another update that addresses these issues, too.
We just released an update to our Apple TV app, restoring the native tvOS video playback experience you know and love, with more improvements to come. Ensuring HBO Max viewers have a quality experience is our top priority and we missed the mark here. Thank you for your patience.
