Hulu has debuted a new ad-supported plan for students that costs just $2 per month, an effective $4 discount off its usual cost…
For quite some time now, Hulu has offered a student plan. But, it was always part of a bundle with Spotify. Since not everyone is interested in subscribing to both services, it didn’t make a whole lot of sense for everyone. Now, the video streaming service has a new plan that lets students subscribe to its ad-supported tier, without having to pay extra for a music streaming service, too.
New Hulu Student Ad-Supported Plan Costs just $2 per Month
The new Hulu college student plan only costs $1.99 per month. But, it is an ad-supported version, so new customers will have to endure commercials. The plan is pretty basic but it does include the entirety of the Hulu library of shows and movies. It also allows customers to create up to six user profiles. However, there’s no option for downloading content for offline viewing. But, the value is in the super-low cost. Hulu writes on its website:
“…eligible students over the age of 18 can sign up for the deal and watch Hulu’s full streaming library of movies and TV shows for a 65% discount, while their student enrollment status remains verified. Whether watching the latest episode of a Hulu Original on a study break, bingeing entire seasons of fan-favorite comedies and reality TV, or planning the next roommate movie night, Hulu has something for everyone.”
