Instagram now sports a new reverse deletion feature that allows users to restore all forms of media, but there’s a time limit on each kind…
There’s no doubt Instagram is certainly one of the world’s largest photo-sharing apps. Since its introduction, the social media site has undergone a number of changes. But, one particular option has remained in big demand. Until now, the Facebook subsidiary hasn’t supported it — the ability to restore deleted items. However, Instagram recently added a new “Recently Deleted” section.

Instagram confirmed the new feature and is currently rolling out the option to both its Android and iOS app. The new folder will allow users to revive posts recently deleted from their accounts. But, it’s not available forever. Deleted Stories are permanently removed from the account after 24 hours. Although, anything else — including photos and videos — are available to restore for 30 days. Instagram writes on its official blog:
“…we’re rolling out Recently Deleted, a feature to help you manage your content. We know this is something people have been asking for and now, for the first time, you can review and restore deleted content in the Instagram app. We also added protections to help prevent hackers from compromising your account and deleting posts you’ve shared.”
